Orthopedics Total Joint Camp

If you are considering total joint replacement,
we invite you to join us for Total Joint Camp at
The Center for Orthopedics at Sharon Hospital.
The comprehensive, multidisciplinary program
is designed to educate and prepare patients
for total joint replacement surgery. The Total
Joint Camp team, made up of nurses, physical
and occupational therapists, nutritionists,
and case managers, makes preparation easy
with information about preadmission testing,
equipment needs, medication and rehabilita-
tion. Patients will come away confident and
ready for their total joint replacement surgery.
Cancer Support Group

Participants and family members are welcome.
The group meets weekly to share experiences,
listen and give support.
Stroke Support Group

Fridays, 11 a.m., Advanced Therapy,
Sharon Hospital
Join other stroke survivors to socialize and
communicate with others. This functional group
meets to discuss current events and enjoy con-
versation in a positive, nurturing environment.

CHILDBIRTH EDUCATION
Classes are held at The Birthing Suites at

Childbirth Education Class

Tuesdays, 7 to 9 p.m.

For couples or individuals. Topics include: end of
pregnancy, labor, birth, postpartum, breathing
and relaxation techniques, medications, and
anesthesia options.
Baby Basics Parenting Class

Monthly, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
A one-evening how-to course for new parents
to make the transition to parenting a little
easier. Call for dates.
Prenatal Breastfeeding Class
ww
Monthly, 7 to 8:30 p.m. Call for dates.
For women who are at least six months
pregnant. Partners are invited to share in the
experience and to learn about the advantages
and benefits of breastfeeding for mother and
child, as well as the role of the partner in the
breastfeeding experience.

Exercise Program

Mondays and Fridays, 10 to 11 a.m.,
Four Trees Café
This program, Sponsored by Advanced Therapy
at Sharon Hospital and developed especially for
people with arthritis, helps maintain fitness while
reducing arthritis pain. All classes are taught by an
Arthritis Foundation-certified instructor.
Yoga

Tuesdays, 8:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Good
Neighbor’s building

$90 for six weeks or $15 per class
Strengthen and tone your body, gain flexibility, cre-
ate balance and harmony. Beginners are welcome.
